The children became soldiers in the Crimean War and were devastated to find out that they were being sent to Scutari. The poor, injured soldiers walked into a dark, dank room filled with rats, blood, lice and even poo! Thankfully, Florence Nightingale came to the rescue and helped the newly qualified nurses to clean the ward and provide proper health care.
