Year 6 World War II Experience Day

We are at war!

Brave Year 6 Air Raid Precautions Officers in training turned out to save the City of Leeds today. Our magnificent pupils worked as teams to identify original artefacts and gain an insight into life for families in this challenging time in British history. These amazingly brave children tackled every single task with ease and highly trained confidence. They put out fires using original WWII hoses and stirrup pumps, they moved bombs to safe places, and without flinching, they launched sandbags to quell deadly incendiary devices. Finally, the ARP officers learnt some essential First Aid skills. It was a day of teamwork and pulling together to keep Lawns Park safe! Well done, Year 6!
