Lawns Park were visited by BBC Look North midweek to film a piece about remembrance. Yorkshire author, Tom Palmer, was in school for the day launching his new book, War Dog, and the TV cameras joined us for the event. A number of Year 6 children met with Tom to discuss his book and even took questions from a reporter, which they answered exceptionally well! It was a great opportunity to see how TV programmes are made as well as enjoy the brilliance of Tom Palmer's books and words of wisdom around reading and writing.
