Welcome back, Year 2!

Monday 8th September - We had our Scutari Hospital afternoon. The children became soldiers in the Crimean War and were devastated to find out that they were being sent to Scutari. The poor, injured soldiers walked into a dark, dank room filled with rats, blood, lice and even poo! Thankfully, Florence Nightingale came to the rescue and helped the newly qualified nurses to clean the ward and provide proper health care. Have a look at some photos below.

Reminders

Every day, pupils will need:

A clear, reusable water bottle. This will be taken home daily to be cleaned and refilled.

A book bag. 

All pupils will have either a Little Wandle book or a banded reading book which comes home daily.
