Welcome to the Year 1 class page! 

On our class page you will find key information, updates and resources to support your children's learning. 

We also love to celebrate the amazing things that will be happening in our classroom! Each week we will be sharing photos, highlights and recognition awards to showcase the efforts and creativity of our class. Check back regularly to see what we have been up to – we can't wait to share our learning journey with you all!

 

Dates

Monday 1st June – School opens for Summer 2

 

Reminders

Every day, pupils will need:

A clear, reusable water bottle. This will be taken home daily to be cleaned and refilled.

A book bag and a plastic wallet containing a Little Wandle book and reading journal.

Reading books are changed on a Wednesday and library books will be changed on a Monday. 
 

Library books can only be changed once previous book has been brought back. 

PE will be on Friday.

Deciduous

Word Class: adjective
Definitions: The word deciduous means "to fall off" and refers to how a plant or tree's leaves fall off in the autumn.
 
Example: Oak trees are deciduous, meaning they lose their leaves every fall
