Welcome to our Foundation Stage webpage. A place where we celebrate children's learning, keep you informed about school life and provide you with trusted sites to support your child and continue the learning journey at home.
Below, you can take a look around your new classroom. We wonder where you will choose to play and learn?
Under the 'Information' section you will find our 'subject planners.' These documents show what your children will be learning each week as they progress through the term.
Autumn Term: Super Lawns Parkers
And so we begin a brand-new learning year in Foundation Stage. This term we will focus on the prime areas of learning: Communication and Language, Physical Development and Personal Social and Emotional Development. We will get to know what school life is all about - learning about our school rules and routines, making new friends, learning how to ask questions so we can find out about each other, sharing our likes and dislikes, and finding out what makes a good Lawns Park learner.
We will use stories and rhymes to develop our mathematical and literacy skills - beginning with "Each Peach Pear Plum." We will become artists as we learn how to use lines to create the shapes we need to draw and paint self-portraits, and we will become historians and geographers as we share information about our own lives.
. We really do have a lot of exciting learning in store and our classroom will certainly be filled with lots of new and existing Super Lawns Park Learners.
Don't forget you can keep abreast of the learning your child will be engaging in by having a look at our 'subject planners' under the information heading.
You can share your child's 'out of school' experiences with us via our class email address. F1@lawnspark.org.uk. We really do appreciate these contributions; it is wonderful to see your children proudly share these memories/achievements with their friends and teachers.
Join us for a fabulous half-term of learning fun.
