Drug, Alcohol and Tobacco Education at Lawns Park Primary School

This half term the children will cover aspects of drug, alcohol and tobacco education in their weekly PSHE lessons. In year one pupils will explore what we can safely put into our bodies. Year two look at medicines, year three find out about tobacco as a drug and year four explore making good choices. In year five the pupils look into different influences and in year six we focus on how to weigh up risk. During the term our colleagues from the charity DSide will be visiting again and running workshops in this area with each class. This is an important aspect of our PSHE curriculum and the knowledge they gain helps them to make good choices to keep themselves safe and healthy.
