School Values

Our school values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens.

 

Our school values are encapsulated in our school motto: LPPS leads to Success!

 

L = Learning - this is why we come to school: to do our very best, be the best learner we can be in all aspects of our education. We strive to become great writers, mathematicians, scientists, musicians, designers and artists, to understand the world around us - it's history, cultures and our British traditions and values. We love to learn and we embrace challenge. As learners, we celebrate the successes of others and ourselves with a strong community spirit. We know how to look at different ways to learn new things and find the way that suits us best.

 

P = Pride - we are proud of our school, it grounds, our learning space, each other, equipment, our work and ourselves. Our uniform is important to us because it shows how proud we are to be Lawns Parkers.

 

P = Perseverance - we know how important it is not to give up and to keep trying. We build up our learning muscles to develop skills in overcoming any barriers we have in our learning activities and our relationships. We develop strategies to cope when things don't go to plan.

 

S = Safety - being safe and understanding what safety is, allows us to be great learners. We know the school rules keep us safe, and we follow them. We learn about our emotions and how to handle tough situations. The boundaries around us are clear to understand so that we can keep ourselves physically safe wherever we are. We know how to keep safe online. We know what to do when we feel unsafe - no matter what the situation.
